Mathews George is currently pursuing PhD in Theology at the University of Auckland. His area of research is centred around theology of personhood in light of embodied cognition.
He hails from India and is an ordained minister in the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church. During his postgraduate studies in theology he explored the methodologies of Pope Benedict XVI and Rowan Williams in their engagement with the faith-science interface.
Mathews is interested in science-engaged theology and has a passion for theological intersections with embodiment, neuroscience, AI and the politics of technology.
