Profile
I grew up in Whangarei, NZ but left with my family to live in the USA at aged 11
years. I returned to NZ to study medicine at the University of Otago. I met Jane, my
wife, in Dunedin and we later married when we were working in Hastings. Once
married we moved to Bristol, England to complete our training in General Practice.
We joined Tear Fund UK and were seconded for four years to work with a local
church in central Nigeria. We moved back to NZ in 1997 and have been working in a
family practice in Massey, West Auckland since then. This year I am reducing some
of my workload and adding enjoyable activities such as this “book club”. I have had a
long-standing interest in the reconciling of my Christian faith and scientific
knowledge, so I am very much looking forward to learning from each other during the
year ahead.
